Sweetie's story didn't have a happy ending after all. He got out of his Elizabethan collar and hid under the shed, where he managed to paw his facial wound into a major disaster. Today he went to heaven, where I'm sure he'll be better treated than he ever was in his earthly life.
Happy trails, darling boy...

Mom and us want to say how sorry we are that you had to let Sweetie go to Rainbow Bridge, it's always tough to say goodbye, not matter the circumstances. We're sure he was happy to have a loving home with you and is sending you love and purrs rite now.
Grins and Kisses,

Girls,
Thanks so much for your message. I keep telling myself that we did the best we could, and Sweetie is now free of pain.
Oh no, here come the tears again.
Jean
Hi Jean,
So sorry to hear about Sweetie. I've lost me dear dogs but not my dear cats that have been with me for 15 years. I will truly be heart broken then as you are now. So sorry.
Mark
Thanks, Mark. Sometimes I think it's just too hard to have an animal in your life, because it's so hard to let them go. But I can't imagine life without animals.

When I lost DeNiro and then Posie a year later (they were both rescue Greyhounds), I was crushed. They were, and are, my kids.
Very sorry to find your blog as this happened. My condolences...
